Every time I read the producers of “The Walking Dead” talk about what’s ahead for their show, I get the distinct feeling they have no idea what to do or where it’s going. It’s like everyone who works on the series week-to-week assumes it’s about to be cancelled, then they’re constantly thwarted by popularity and forced to come up with a new episode on the fly. GUYS, PEOPLE LIKE THE SHOW! YOU SHOULD PUT SOME THOUGHT INTO IT AND PLAN AHEAD!

So, what you’re saying is… it’s going to still be inspired by the same comic book it always has been, and it’s going to also make up some new stuff? Just like it has… ALL ALONG, then? Great.
“There are huge elements from the comic book in season 3, moving into season 4 it’s going to be pretty much the same. There’s gonna be a lot of things that fans recognize from the comics and there are gonna be a lot of new elements pushed in and it’s gonna make for a really good show like it always has been.”
These are real quotes! Does Kirkman just have no idea what the plans are for Season 4 and is simply pretending he does to save face in front of this interviewer? Or are there really ZERO plans for what Season 4 will hold, and they’ll just throw something together about such-and-such going missing and a few non-essential characters getting bit?

Hear that, folks? They’re going to DARK places. On the show about the few ragtag survivors of a zombie apocalypse that are constantly losing loved ones, being picked off by monsters or attacked by other survivors. That show… gonna get a bit DARK next season. Thanks, entertainment news site!
